Professional Educator's License (PEL): Prospective teachers will earn a master’s degree with a four-year Resident Educator license. Begin working in a classroom within your first year of study! The PEL program consists of 43 credit hours and two field experiences of 75 clock hours each.
Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate—Initial License (ISM): This comprehensive program for prospective teachers leads to a teaching license in the area of special education in as little as 27 months. It features a hands-on approach to learning: program requirements include 15 credit hours of field and clinical experience that equip students to effectively serve this unique population post-graduation.
Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate—Advanced License (ISP): The ISP is specifically designed for licensed teachers who wish to enhance their credentials to include both Intervention Specialist licensure and a master’s degree. Reach for something more in the classroom—whether you’re teaching or learning. This degree can be completed in about 18 months.
