PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program at MVNU Online equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become social work professionals. This online social work degree is designed for students with an associate’s degree in human services or social work. However, students who have earned a minimum of 56 transferable semester hours (84 quarter hours) from an accredited university and have completed the necessary social work foundation and cognate requirements are also eligible to apply to the Online BSW program.
Health Care Social Worker
As a health care social worker, you provide individuals, families, and groups with the psychosocial support they need to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses.
Victim Advocate
Victim advocates are trained to support victims of crime. They offer emotional support, information about rights, help finding resources, and assistance filling out victim-related forms.
Case Manager
Case managers are health care professionals who serve as patient advocates to support, guide, and coordinate care for patients, families, and caregivers as they navigate their health and wellness journeys.
School Social Worker
School social workers are trained mental health professionals who provide services related to a person's social, emotional, and life adjustments to school or society.
Child Welfare Social Worker
Child welfare social workers protect vulnerable youth and help disadvantaged families meet the needs of their children.
